For it has come to my attention that someone somewhere is doing an extremely poor and cheap imitation of me, entering chat-rooms on the web and starting a phony myspace, causing great offence.

So I'm writing this message to give everyone the heads-up on the situation: I have NOT and will NOT enter chat-rooms, myspace, facebook or any other venue on the web except for my official website www.paulburrellrvm.com and certainly do not have the rude manners or share the same views as the person who is claiming to be me.

The temerity of this particular person hiding behind words on the web is both shocking and disgraceful and, judging by the reaction of those people who have already brought this matter to my attention, its clear his/her 'acting' is not at all good.

So, if you do happen to come across offensive or any chit-chat from a 'Paul Burrell' in a chat room, please treat it with the disdain that it deserves. It is not me!! Again I exclusively communicate through my official website alone and NO OTHER.

As you all know, there is only ONE Paul Burrell - the world is not ready for two! - And it is simply not my style or character to behave in such a rude and obnoxious manner, and I hope many of you are already aware of that.

May I thank those of you who have brought this matter to my attention, and may this imposter who clearly has nothing better to do with his life soon get bored of a game which my lawyers are now taking a keen interest in.

I have always maintained my whole hearted support and allegiance to Her Majesty the Queen and Princess Diana, both incredible, unique and inspirational women of our times. Throughout my lifetime, I will remain loyal and true to the two women whom I have had the privilege to serve.

I am always comforted by a quotation to which the princess often made reference: "Never worry about your reputation because that is what people think you are. Worry more about your character, because that is who you are."
